Andy,
In response to your initial inquiry, yes, I think this one is worth the chance. Though I haven't seen this specific eagle, the construction looks good.
On mine, the eagle is hollow-back and the backing is the typical KM blue felt type cloth. I can't get mine apart to see under it, but wouldn't really expect to find anything in the ways of markings anyway. I would be surprised if your example was not also hollow in construction, but I really can't say without having it in hand.
Looks nice!

Andy, that's unfortunate. Wish I had seen the thread earlier but it happens.
I have seen many cases where sellers just "can't be bothered" sending extra PIC's of something, especially lower end items. But if you ask me, if you really want to sell something or in the case of auctions, make MORE money, then plan ahead and have PIC's ready for these type situations. I just don't understand this mentality.
Don't worry, there are plenty out there.

Hi Andy,
There are not a lot of reference threads on these metal breast eagles, even the Luftwaffe versions are seldom discussed. Should we start a thread on the various styles or just add to this one here?
I will post a couple of shots of another KM eagle, this one is either tombak or CupAL (Copper/Aluminum) of which I personally have not seen many examples. Most of the ones I've seen were in gilded/silvered alumimum.

Whats the secret?

Thanks Andy,
Really, just time, patience and practice. Still using an old Sony Mavica with only 3.2 megapixels. Someday, I'll save up my pennies for a nice Nikon.
