To make matters worse, the best-known Scherff was in Roonstraße also.

Roonstraße was renamed after WW2. So, be careful when you see the immediately postwar Rheinstraße address ...

My one and only, a KM 'M41' tropical cap, similar to LeeG's example (post #18), except most probably unissued, and the same maker (I know from seeing it in another thread), i.e "hpc" (Hermann Potthoff of Coesfeld, Westphalia - later war examples are marked with RB number 0/0520/0017).
