Indeed thank you both Ebony and Leroy, brings a new kind of sunlight within the thread!

Leroy, would that be a pre war cap you showed? Perhaps you can share a inside view as well? Intriquing cap, nice.

Nice to see the aged and worn insignia seem to be almost "absorbed" into the cap it self.
      Thanks Zauberflote,

I have a "real" soft spot for them all and personally can not get enough.

The salty worn ones are a lot harder to find than unissued ones and in my opinion should not be over looked esp. when one considers how high we value a WH example which is that faded or used. They are the ones that saw the tropical sun and all that went with it in those times.

You are right about the badges on a salty KM tropical and this is something to look for in such a cap,

      Chris

        Thanks Leroy,

not only the hot Afrika sun but also the salt from Afrika waters too.

I will get ebony to post another image to show you what I mean,

That's wonderful stuff, Chris. Love that shield!!!

Here's the inside of mine. No markings and I am guessing locally acquired or made. Might not have even been German originally, but used by them.

I have a couple KM pieces of headgear, nothing special when compared to all the great pieces of headgear in this thread.

Just added this Zweispitz to my small KM collection and figured I could add it to this thread (especially since there has not been a single one posted here so far).

Any other new KM owned by WAF members in the meantime?
