Carlo, thanks but this one still came in 2010, was just waiting for the first day without snow and the sun out to take this baby outside... sometimes I think it'd be nice to live South of the Alps ... Kurt

A nice salty M41 tropical cap would be appealing to see next... :-)

Zauberflöte --- sweet field grey cap. I see the insignia appear to be on blue backing, are they aged gold or toned silver?

                Exactly what I was thinking.

I have asked ebony to post images of some really salty ones.

How about 3 brought back by New Zealand soldiers, two from Italy and one from Afrika.

A bit of "tropical delight" for an excellent thread,

                Chris

Don't have that, but here's something a little different.

                          ...definitely aged gold Kurt.
                          Thank you.

That should get the tropical ball rolling, thanks ebony .

The interesting thing about the three salty dogs which I have got ebony to post images of in post numbers 189 to 191, is the way all 3 caps have very heavily worn badges. The KM badges do not seem to stand up as well to heavy wear and sun in the same way that the WH tropical badges or LW types do.

Very interesting tropical cap you have added in post number 188 Leroy. Love that metal eagle which is a type not often seen. Adding a metal eagle on instead of a cloth example is a typical KM variation which is sometimes seen, may in fact be a senior NCO cap,

                              I especially like #1 !

Nice to see the aged and worn insignia seem to be almost "absorbed" into the cap it self.

                                Beautiful caps, Chris!

You can almost feel the heat from the sun when looking at these.
