The wood looks from a Panther tank. It is used for the 75 mm shells.
Those shells who are stored in the left and right part of the Panther.
The metal part looks the seat of a Panther.

My latest news from Normandy :
- a jack of 10 tons capacity for PzIV make by a new manufacturer for me, Dörken A - G, in 1942 ( other are Pfaff, Sud Bähn Werke or SBW, Westfalen Winde Tragkraft or "horse make rear up" mark, Josef Harmann...). The handle is collapsible and it work still !
- a hatch for PzIV driver.
- a track link 40 cm late model for PzIV.

Tobruk Tank Turret

Not 'exactly' mine but photographed this this morning for you - German Renault APX tank turret tobruk from the lovely island of Jersey only 1 of 5 left out of a total of 61 that were implaced on the island. Photo of the interior follows, regards Paul

I actually run 2 of the german emplacements on the island, the oberservation tower at Noirmont and a 10.5cm casemate at Corbier with the original Schneider gun in place - how lucky am I !!!!!

What is the calibre?

Looks like LeFH18/40, if this is 105 mm calibre.
Or KwK/StuK40, if 75mm.

I think its from Pak/Kwk 75mm.
