Found by Adler James muller (101st Airborne) at eagle's nest in may 1945.

Some very interesting pieces there, Luca; I have never seen an example of Reichschancellery silverware in the same pattern as the AH Informal style, only with "RK" flanking the swastika instead of "AH."

Does anyone out there have a more clear or high-resolution photo showing the salt & pepper shakers?

Hi William,

I'm sorry to say that I don't have "a more clear or high-resolution photo showing the [AH Formal] salt & pepper shakers," as shown in these pix, but I have seen photos of these pieces in the past, on various dealers' websites. I checked Brent Smith's site, Jim Yannes' "Encyclopedia" and Mark Griffith's Revised "Collectors Guide" this morning, though to no avail.

Here's another one, but not clear. I'm assuming you mean period pics. I have plenty high res photos of AH Salt & Pepper shakers I took myself.

Upon a second viewing of Mark Griffith's Revised edition of his "Collector's Guide" -- a compilation of three editions of his work, without pagination, published in 1986 -- I see that there is indeed a photo of two different sizes of AH salt shakers there. This photo appears early in the Revised edition -- without page numbering -- under the section titled Porcelain and Crystal. The photo is not clear in this edition; it is probably originally found in one of the earlier editions of Dr. Griffith's work.

Yes James, you're correct. The ones we normally see are the small ones. I never had the opportunity to see the large shakers in person. I wonder who has the ones shown in the photo?

Yes, I too wonder! I'm not sure whether Dr. Griffith is a WAF member or follower, but if he is, I'll bet he knows where those shakers went!
