    ..

#227 was awarded to Torsten Christ. I owned his uniform at one time and various items from his estate have surfaced from time to time. A few years ago, his cased Blood Order was auctioned by one of the German auction houses. I found out about it too late and could not bid. I do not know where it went. I thought someone here might know of it.

Thanks a lot Erich. So the 1st and 2nd patter BO's are exactly the same except for the numbers.

There is only very small differences between the two patterns such as the length of the eagle beak.

Hi Erich, nice show. Also, Jon's (aka Bunker Hunt) display of BOs and papers. Those Bezitzurkunden or the Party file cards are the only source documents that can document a name with a second pattern BO. Or did the Membership book also contain the BO award and number?

It is interesting that the Mahnmahl statues must have made before the addition of the large plaque of the police that also died in the Putsch. It was attached to the wall below the Mahnmahl proper and can be seen in photos of the memorial between the two SS guards. It has been a long time since I was at the Feldherrnhalle, but back in 1994, the mounting holes were still in that lower wall.

Further to my post #46, here is Torsten Christ's Blood Order. I hope it will surface again someday.

The silver stamp on that one nearly looks like 995!

I am fortunate to own #167-belonging to Johann Maier. He was a member of Bund Oberland. Is there anyway to find more info about this man? I think highly of these awards.

                            Hello Jon,

I am a little bit confused now.....

You show a first pattern medal with number 251 with a matching second pattern document # 251. That is strange, because it is written in 1939. Is is a substitute for the early brown document?

In my list the # 251 has another owner and I can´t find this name inside there.

What happened here? I don´t have any explanantion for this. Please help.

                            Thank you and best regards

Max, we have been talking about this over on GD.Com, take a look. The official list show there shows 251 belonging to Reiber, another name has been removed. I would love some more info on this guy !!
Also on the document you can see its a second issue,so yes probably a replacement for his lost/damaged brown holders doc
