    Hello there,

Are there period photos of a badge like this being worn, can anyone post one?

Hi, Bob, I believe the signature written thru/above "1923"
        to be of Hans Schön.

        Cheers, Martin

Supposedly his "prototype" blood order, like those shown in this thread. It sold for 7600 euro + their auction fee. They also sold what they claimed was Hitler's personal prototype earlier for some 20k +. I believe they also have sold one more of this type, but don't remember who it was attributed to.

Looking forward to see when Hermann Göring's prototype shows up!

Was tempted to make a bid on it, but a prototype is a prototype. It was actually issued (me thinks) but later retracted and then not an official award. I would still stick to a text book first pattern, or save my money for a 1st pattern coburger abzeichen. Just my 2 cents.

It was not a prototype. They were made and AWARDED (hence the verso dedication). Rare as hell and as this one is cased- the only one known in existence. Also every bit textbook.

The Hess badge is not one that I would be comfortable with in my collection.

My new one is epic. More in January. I don't know what to think about these so-called first-pattern Blood Orders ...
