            Relay Baton?

            Hello All,

I recently obtain a wooden stick with the olympic 1936 Logo. Could it be a relay baton? Is this made as a "Souvenir"?

            Best Regards,

            Michel

As a fairly new member I love it when some older threads get revived.

Here are a couple of items to add

I don't know if this is from the Berlin games or not. Nobody that's looked at it has really been able to give me an answer. I got this at an estate sale for olympic weightlifter William "Bill" Good. He was a participant in the Berlin games. It was not expensive by any means so I bought it. It does not glow under UV and passes the burn test, but it's not the bevo type weave I see on period insignia. I've seen some blurry photos of young kids in all white uniforms with a kletterweste style jacket but the photos were so blurry I could not see if this insignia was present. If anybody knows what it was for or has a photo I'd love to see it. HJ triangle in the photo is for size comparrison.

                            Odd 1936 Olympic Bell

I wonder if any '36 Olympic collectors can tell me anything about this bell.

Not only is it unique, but I continue to marvel at it surviving being carried to the US during the war.

                            Thanks in advance.

I run across this thread. Perhaps interesting, to place this item.

                              Never in collectorhands before!
