Just to let all you guys who follow this thread that I will be packing up my computer on 26 Oct 2011 and will not see it again until December 2011 or January 2012.
I'm moving back to Corpus Christi, Texas as my 5 year tour in Rotterdam, Holland is coming to a close. Until then I will continue to post when I can until 25 Oct 2011. I hope you all will continue to view and post on this thread.
I will be able to view the thread from my office until 10 November and pick back up posting after I get settled back into my home.

Hello my Friends!
I would like to let everyone know that I'm on my way to a full recovery...I just had my last appointment with the Doctors here in Holland before I return back to Texas on 3 Jan 2012. My home, Household goods, truck and old job are waiting for my return.
My computer should be up and running in mid-January so I can start sharing my photo collection once more. I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

M43 caps etc
Brilliant thread - note the no decal (M42's?) in post #482 - wonder if they are Luftwaffe blue-grey or 'universal issue' field-grey......
Looking through the entire thread, I did notice that where M43 caps are seen there are a lot more (perhaps the majority) with single button fronts - always thought they were in the minority - apparently not!Comment
