Newly arrived LW photos Pilot & LWFD

    Wonderful pictures Bill (and hope you're keeping well at this difficult time).

    Lots of pictures of fliegerblusen being worn without collar tabs, I always assumed this was because Luftwaffe personnel transferred into Field Divisions with various Waffenfarbe and it created uniformity whilst they waited for their green tabs?

    Lots of the shorter peaked 'Bergmütze' style caps too, presumably with single button fronts.

          It is also my opinion. Only fews units received their news tabs and shoulders straps. So many soldiers have kept their old Waffenfarbe or nothing.
