I already recognised her yes. I've seen a greater part of the movie but it didn't impress me that much. Another Russian mini-series is a LOT better with uniforms, fieldgear and medals and orders exactly as should be (with help and assistance from the Central Armed Forces Museum Moscow as well as a Hero of the Soviet Union veteran). It is called "The Attackers". Very recommendable....plus some really beautiful girls as well in that series

Agreed. It has become a competition to post photographs of women.

Better name for the thread would've been: Are there women on WW2 pics? Because it seems every single photograph with a woman is shown here, no matter how beautiful or ugly she is

This thread started with women of all kinds, uniformed or not uniformed. Have a view at the start.
        So what's the problem?

Post 1055 shows women from the Nat.Soz.Reichsbund für Leibesübungen, which formerly was known as Deutscher Reichsbund für Leibesübungen.
It is for sure their club, union or association was assigned to Fachschaft 1: Geräteturnen, Gymnastik and Sommerspiele. In about 1937 there were
12,848 such clubs with 724,406 members, from which there were 259,915 women.
They do properly wear the insignia (logo) upon the middle of the breast, which is shown in the "Verordnung über die Abzeichen" etc. for the N.S.R.L.

Two points that make this a modern photo

          1) You can clearly see she is wearing a Jane Russlle enhancement garment, unheard of in the Soviet Union till well after the Stalin era.

          2) The rather tatty shape of her jacket, any picture of a sniper would a been a propogada shot and her uniform would be new and clean.

          just my 2cents

Hundestaffel, the woman in your photo bears a striking resemblance to my girlfriend. I took the liberty of photo shopping them together for comparison. Do you know the identities of the couple or where the photo was taken? Thanks, Dale

Agree. It's become a rush to post any female. We all know everyone has their "type", but some of these examples just don't meet the post topic... at all.

Here's one who is actually a cutie wearing her boyfriend or husband's panzer wrap. It was in Pruett and Edwards but I'm not familiar with the site hosting this image.

They look like bad girls of that time. Even now! Great pic.

I am biased, but imho, American pin-up girls are tops:

Not sure but if it is she is brave and beautiful! One of the few people who raised a question personally with Hitler about the treatment of the Jews.
