                              Great Pictures

Awesome pictures of GI's taking on German heavy armour. It took alot of bravery and guts to take on a Tiger tank. My father long ago, told me Hitler had the best armour vs American's. It would take a group of six+ Sherman's to knock out one Tiger tank. The first initial Sherman's would keep the Tiger busy, while the others would go to the back and knock'em out. Sadly, the American tanks attacking the front of the Tiger were sacrificed in battle. It usually ended in a horrible death for them. Such bravery was common among US and Allied tank crews. It was a great accomplishment to knock out one these giants. Thanks for sharing these seldom seen pictures with us.

                                Wayne,

Thanks for the compliment and comments. Shermans were numerous but thin skinned...I believe the British called them "Ronsons" I found a few more pics German Armor and Artillery in my US box of photos which I will be showing..this also includes Captured French tanks used by the Germans.

Here is a captured Panzer being hauled away.
