One more: Uffz with collar tresse on his M44 Luftwaffe Flakabzeichen.

Nice addition Porsche. Having trouble making out the eagle or collar tabs on that one, but might just be the nature of the subdued insignia?


Maxoumilitaria - great picture, guess NCO tress added specially for the Wedding Day (to look his best) is a possibility?

Ref the Luftwaffe Flak Abzeichen, when the Luftwaffe Field Divisions were absorbed by the Army (from November 1943 onwards) and re-designated as "Field Divisions (Luftwaffe)" I understand that they began being issued with Heer uniform items as the Luftwaffe items wore out, and you sometimes see soldiers with mixed Heer/ Luftwaffe items. Presumably by the time the M44 uniforms were being issued (from September 1944 onwards) this might have resulted in complete Heer uniforms? Either that or he just transferred from the Luftwaffe for one reason or another...

Interesting picture either way.
