          A quick condensed version:

A friend is writing to the wife telling her how her husband died. They apparently were both medical personnel, but I'm not sure about the dr. part - may have been. (edit - I see the letter writer definitely was)
The guy died when he responded to a vehicle that had run over a mine, and he stepped on a mine. He had been awarded the EK shortly before. (2nd edit - looks like the letter writer had recommended the deceased for the EK a few short weeks prior)(3rd edit - the letter writer told the deceased about it prior to his being killed, but official award was held up. Naturally, the official EK arrived the same day he was buried)

That's a VERY short translation. There's a lot of other things that you'd expect - best friends, had hoped to meet her in better times, they spoke often of future plans, didn't realize it would be the last talk/cigarette/handshake they'd ever have, etc.

          best
          Hank

              Identify this Ticket Stub Please

I found this ticket stub in the pocket of the tunic and I was wondering what it was for?
Your help with this will be much appreciated.

              Thank you,
              Vilja

It's a ticket to some sort of production - doesn't really say. The overstamp has something to do with "Kinderfreunde" - people who support children. And whatever town/city it was.

Says it has to be shown in conjunction with ID when requested.

Thank you very much Hank for helping ID the ticket stub.

This was an unexpected find in the pocket.....and perhaps it belonged to the original owner of the tunic.

                  Sincerely,

Hello. I´m a new member of the forum and I would need some help. Some months ago, I bought some documents and photographs of an Unteroffizier of 9.Kompanie 527 Infanterie Regiment.
Some of the photographs have words that I am not able to identifie.

¿Someone who can help me? I´ve some photographs but now I´m going to show you only two. Thank you for everything.
