Much better to read in the context.

"... gewiss sollte das Land für diesen Krieg zur Rechenschaft gezogen werden."

"...Und dann die kommende Tragödie - mehr als das!
In den 20er Jahren waren wir in China, mit dem Putsch hatten wir, so besehen nichts zu tun.
Mein Vater war bei Thiang Kai Scheck Jnst(r)ukteur seiner im Aufbau befindlichen Luftstreitkräfte."

        Thanks again Gerdan!

It was that Thaing Kai that had me thrown me for a loop because my head was in German mode, not Chinese!

Hi gents! I was wondering if anyone could help me to figure out the name of the signature so I can look for further info on this doctor (this is from a BWB award document). Thanks in advance!

          Best regards,
          Fabian.

Have another one more interesting! A wound ticket, I can read his name Schäfer, his rank Gefreiten, and the date at the bottom when he was wounded 9.10.43 but I would love to know the rest if it someone can make it out specially what the wounds were! That would be just awesome! Will tell some more of this soldier after I get a puzzle together! Thanks in advance.

            Best regards,
            Fabian.-

some of the missing words I think I could identify but not all:

wound: ... Steckschuss - li. Oberschenkel - ... retained missile - left femoral

Hilfeleistung - the way he was treated: Verband - bandage

on the bottom: they gave him "Mo Tbl. 0,02" - Morphium Tablette 0.02 at 20.30 o'clock p.m.

on the back is written in pencil: ohne Gasmaske eingeliefert, date + signature - hospitalized without gas mask

The sort of bullet I could not read/identify.

If the last line of this note is the name of the newspaper, can the rest of the phrase be translated?

                  Thank you,

                  Robert

                    I read it:

"Sie sind vielleicht (?) nicht böse, dass wir das einrücken ließen.

                    "Oldenburger Staatsazeitung":

Hope you are not angry with me/us that we inserted this (in the newspaper) Oldenburger Staatszeitung.

#727 Regarding the Steckschuss it looks to be M.P. Maschinenpistole or submachinegun as the bullet.
