Is this the signature (below) from Leutnant Beckmann (Panzer Jager Abt. 88 Hornisse)
The signature above is from Hauptmann Martin Uhlig

Or perhaps if someone could read over the script and give me a brief outline of what is written? I need to write back to this veteran soon and I would like to discuss what he was good enough to send me.

            My thanks

If it's 4 -5 pages typed and there is no problem reading the handwriting then why not use an online translator ? You would have to retype it into a PC then copy and paste to google translate or Bing translator. It wont be perfect but it would certainly give you an understanding of the document.

                        trans

Difficult, but here's a start: Die "Schreibstube"
                        Unser --------- auf
                        dem --------- vor ---------.

                        is what I read.

                          Thank you
Auf dem...vor... makes me think the last word might be a location name?

                            trans

Yes, a location. The word after "Unser" might be -----wagen. It would take more of this handwriting for me to figure out the missing words.
