2) "Dieser hier ist ein Russe. i(h)m erging es ebenso, man streute ihm den Reis vor die Füsse,
damit er ihn immer sieht aber nicht langen kann".
This (guy) here is also a Russian, he had the same fate, rice was sprinklet in front of him
before his feet, so he could see it but not touch it.

Hi all
Can anybody help me with a translation for this document from "Task Force " Stalingrad. The Arbeitsstab was set up to deal with the thousands of missing or KIA at Stalingrad and North Africa in late 1942/ early 1943.
My German is useless and Google translater is even worse.
Thanks in advance

Batterie Frankfurt, Flak Batterie Ulm) 1917 - 1919.
He was WIA 4.3.43 with a splinter in his left lower arm and stomach.

The letter says that Mrs. Sachse should contact the special
unit "Wehrkreiskommando XI - Arbeitsstab-Stalingrad" in Hannover because of the
service pay of her husband(?) which could not be payed any more in 6th Army Area
(Stalingrad).
This service pay should now be sent/payed to her by the "Stellvertretende
Generalkommando XI A.K."
