      Apparently he cashed in on a Kraft Durch Freude trip he won. Though it doesn't explain your fellow's situation an old friend of mine from the Panzertruppe was almost dead from tuberculosis in March '45 and he managed to get sent to a LW Lungenlazarett close to his home so he would be nearby when the war ended. After operations he was in such bad shape he wasn't fit to work until 1954. But he's still alive today at 89.

                    Hi Guys and Gals This is quite a big one so if anyone can translate this i will buy them a pint of there favourite beer via paypal! This is from Hans Eisen a pilot in JG2 who scored three victories Sept 44- Jan 45 and i believe it should hopefully contain the circumstances of willi langs death. Typed german i can figure out but hand written stuff i havent a prayer with.

                              Pauke Gerdan i am endebted to you both thats absolutely fantastic, Willi lang was shot down by either a a B26 or a P47 i was wondering if i could find possibly who claimed the kill but i am just happy to now have a better understanding of the letters content many many many thanks for your asistance, Pauke i owe you a pint of your favourite tipple, Will PM you

                              Hans eisen was shot down by AA and bailed out during The battle of the bulge im still trying to find an exact date for this one but he was deffinately brought down and listed as OK.
