Yeah thanks for your opinion on the matter.
Many of them still enjoy contact though i.e Herr Carius.
Those who can't reply, they just don't. They have the right of choice.

Yes I know several veterans here in the US who enjoy contact with anyone. Many of them can talk all day. The old WWII veterans who are still healthy mostly enjoy interaction. At least here in the US.

I heard some place that he agreed with his family that he should not discuss the wartime period of his life with strangers anymore. I think that it have something to do with the very bad and unfair treatment he have received from some of the press and the political motivated try to get him on trail in Denmark.

Now he is too old for all that crap. He seems to still reply letters from autograph collectors.

This Saturday I was on personal visit at Herr Carius. He's a charming man and very vital and positive person.
I spent with him an amazing hour and a half and it is for me an experience of a lifetime. I did an interview with him (with helping of my colleague - she knows German really very well). Interview I also recorded and, once processed and approved by Mr. Carius (correction), I will publish it.
He signed me some pictures for me and he also wrote the dedication with signed to the book for me.
I fulfilled a big dream......

Soon I will pay full access here and then I will send more!
