    Hi Brian,

and what is rarer, signed with a red, blue or grey pencil. for both Göring and Milch. Was the color choice random or does this have to do with a specific timeframe?

    Regards, Thomas

This is a fact that I have not noticed until now. Did Milich at Ehrenpokal citation also use a facsimile?.
Maybe we can see his signature less often because only the handwritten ones are known?

Brans cup interesting history there! Milch hand signed. And it was really nice to see those 75 year D Day ceremonies yesterday. My wife's father still alive. He lied about his age and got into the war at age 16. Silver Star, Bronze Star.

I should have bid on the Schulz's goblet in HH auction few years ago.

Brian, if you want to worship at the D-Day altar, there is a separate thread for that. I thought this one was about the Ehrenpokal.

these are the most extensive discounts on Nachtjäger victory cups known to me as existing realities:
Ludwig Becker, oak leaf holder with 44 cups
Heinz Strüning, oak leaf holder with 35 Cups
Reinhard Kollak, knight cross holder with 27 Cups

These estates are also complete, no possible cup is missing.

Victory Cups were not awarded during the entire wartime.
The latest known Cups are dated from 25.07.1943 and given to Uffz. Walter Rohlfing NJG 3
Even successful night fighters, who only reached their high numbers of launches from the September 1943 to the end of war, did not get any cups.
During a telephone conversation with Heinz Rökker, Oak Leave holder with 64 aerial victories, I found out that he only got 3 cups.

                          Best regards

The proliferation of these 'victory cups' in recent years leaves me sceptical, especially ones marked 'Dem Sieger im Luftkampf' or 'Denn wir fliegen gegen England'. Given the milieu of the times, such engravings would not have been applied to such cups IMHO.
