I have posted this Soldbuch page before on here.

Award entry for a 'Silbernes Ehrenbecher' dated 28-11-40 in the Soldbuch issued to Ofw. Theo Voll of KG 53.

I understand the term Ehrenbecher was used to describe WWI pokals, and posting this page here previously the concensus was it was indeed the award of an Ehrenpokal which is listed. That said, others of course may have a different opinion on the entry!

Wow, what a wonderful entrys in this Soldbuch.
The first soldier who received the 2nd Class Cross was major von Borcke from the 1st Pomeranian Infantry Regiment, April 2, 1813.
Does anyone know who received the first EKII in WW2.?

Traces of War lists the following: "He was killed on 27th September 1940, during the Airbattle over England. During the air battle, Liensberger's Messerschmitt Bf 110 collided with the pursuing No. 249 Squadron Hawker Hurricane of Flying Officer Percy Burton who had run out of ammunition and was low on gasoline. Both Liensberger and his radio-operator, Unteroffizier Albert Kopge and the Hawker Hurricane pilot were killed."

If this goblet is being sold the factors that will influence price are the fact that it is an early sivler goblet and a 110/BoB pilot.

I agree with Brian & Jacek that the story/who he was is what influences a goblet's price the most out of the above.

I know Liensberger faith since many many years now but every time I think about it I am really moved. So strange and terryfying end for 3 young men.

This is very ironic that because of his death on such early stage of the war his items could been bring back home and did not vanished.
Another pilots had to pass through tens of luft campaignes and not always had time and luck to save all their items.

Heinz Leesmann was the first Knight Cross Holder of the Jagdgeschwader 52.
