          Hi,

it's the same TDB reproduction shown on post #165 of this thread, merely the gold version.

In all cases; good hunting and thanks for posting.

            Hi deejay,
Thank you for your fast reply!
Just put it up for sale Alan Beadle in their news ... The funny thing is that he has written several books ....

              You are welcome.

Let us make something else clear: Writing a book does not always prove the writer being an expert on this subject!

I think it's not appropriate to judge badges of others like this; I am not here to smudge somebody's reputation. As stated in my first thread; please only post your own badges. Thanks.

                Hi

It looks like Mr Beadle have a Austian fake on his book cover

                    Fake 02 or real?

Great thread! I wanted to post pics of a TDB for a friend and after a glance at this thread, I wonder if it is a fake 02, as you call it. (like in post # 109)
Sorry for the bad pic - no other available. Could you tell it from that?

You are correct in identifying your friend's TDB as a reproduction.

The black border threads do not run in the right direction - //////////// - and the tank is too big for the space between the 2 black borders.

Thank you Tim! The black border was the thing that hit my eye, too!

I leave these up to you. I don't particularly care for these. They are included in the catalog in this Friday's release.

Although there were TDBs worn other than the issue ones, these so-called "privately made" TDBs need to have rock solid provenance or they have to be treated as fantasy items.
