Is it me or is this pic very 'odd', not as in wrong but unusual, late war? ankle boots and gaiters and marching boots dominate. All are wearing officer style belts but are very young to be officers. Is there any background too these pics?

This is exactly the kind of mixture you would see towards the end of the war. I wish there was but there is nothing written on the reverse of the photos.

So if Herlé still has it in his collection then the one that was on ebay could have been a possible repro/fake or both could be fake or both could be original....Hmmm

there are a lot of fakes with that motiv out there ... i is a well known repro portrait often seen on ebay !
