    From mine I know he was in FJ Reg.1, photo taken shortly before deployment to Kreta.

        Robert...They look to be the same Fallschirmjaeger only yours is a larger studio portrait and the one I have is Soldbuch/Wehrpass size with no studio Berlin markings. Ruler is German.

                      Reposting this rare pic of Max Schmeling on Kreta. He was suffering from Heat Exhaustion caused by a case of dysentery prior to his jump into Kreta.

                              Mike....No problem nor disruption and a valid question.



                              It is not all that uncommon to see Luftwaffe members not wearing a breast eagle on their fliegerbluse. Check out my new photo pickups thread in the photo and paper forum and you will see evidence of it on some portraits I recently posted.
