Just remember to never, never let John see one of your smocks while he has any kind of sharp instrument on him.

Steve, yes 179 has some printing flaws.

Here are a few closely cut early eagles.

Why I thought Steve had inspired us to show uncut eagles for a while????

Steve, I agree with you about the unusual printing of Raoul's smock 179. Perhaps you or Willi have recorded the RB numbers of smocks that have this printing?

Here is the eagle (another early one) that is on one of the Luftwaffe smocks in Michael Beaver's excellent SS camo book. I can post a photo of the eagle that is on the other smock as well. This eagle is another favorite, love the dark green thread used to sewn it on. This smock saw a lot of use.

              Thank you Willi,
I really like the late war blue metal dish buttons!
              See you at the SOS.

Great smock Michael. I think I have a weakness for greunmeliert backed eagles just like I do for petite blondes

                  John,
                  The info:
0/0250/0908 GR. IIb Made by FW Berlin,
Willi can double check this with his smock.

                  Thanks Michael

                        John,

The tight-weave smock with printing errors was RbNr 0/0250/2476.(The type that is sized marked in cms )

A few SOS finds. The de-Nazified one was pretty cheap, couldn't pass it up. It appears that it was removed from a smock and then de-Nazified. Go figure.

The bottom one is sewn to a very rare type of smock.

I passed on another one at the SOS....it was offered at more than double the going rate, so I left it in the dealer's case. So, back to the UK it went.

Did see two more, but they are not in my hands yet!

Nice finds Willi! On Friday I didn't see any except one which was very overpriced, I think we are talking about the same one. The bottom eagle is a beauty, I now feel sorry that I passed on it when J.S. had it for sale!

So......................we are waiting, or do we have to buy the book ?

                              Yours impatiently,
