Gday everyone,

The knights Cross winner pictured above is Helmut Gustav Gortz.

Gortz was awarded the Knihts Cross on 24 May 1940 for Holland. At the tme, Feldwebel Gortz commanded I Zug/3 Kompanie/Fallschirmjager Regiment 1.

Gortz was awarded the Oakleaves to the Knights Cross on 30 April 1945.

Very interesting close up shot of the Japanese Jump smock. It appears to be somewhat modeled after the 1st Model step in Jump smock of the FJ. Must be extremely rare to find one of those. Do you have any contacts in Japan!! Akira where are you? Bill
