Nice. It's signed by Neumann. The division was active in and around Den Bosch, october 1944.

        1190

A soldbuch to Division 190 active in Holland. No awards, no home leaves and not many entries.

Not sure what FPW 42101 means on page 3?

If it is a feldpost number, it doesn't match his units,

        (30.7.1941-28.2.1942) Bezirkskommissariat Zoll-Grenzschutz Nord Nr. 1 B,

        (8.9.1943-22.4.1944) 16.12.1943 gestrichen

Some very nice documents have been shared, nice!

Lee, to me it looks like F.P.W. 42 (o)
I can not tell you more about the unit. F.P.W. stands for Feldpostwesen (Field Postal service).

Too bad, but apparently this thread is dead. Let me give it a last try back up.

Here is a very nice photo part of a bigger group to a man that served in one of the many Luftwaffe-Bataillons under Bataillon Koch. This unit served in Holland from September 1944 on, mostly around 's Hertogenbosch.

It is a very nice and sharp photo with lot's of interesting equipment and details to see. I am sorry for the heavy watermarks, but apparently that is necessary these days. I hope you like it.

                Is it dated?

To keep the thread running I have asked Eric-Jan to edit the topictitle to Holland 1940 - 1945.
People can show their 1940 battles - occupation pictures/papers and 1944 and 1945 related documents - photo's ea in this thread.

The area around Zetten (west of Arnhem - Nijmegen) was the frontline for several months.
In 1945 the Dutch Waffen SS Landstorm fought also in the area.

Scottisch troops with white camo cloths are here on patrol on a dyke near Zetten.

Floris, the photo is not dated, but most likely taken somewhere in Holland.

It is about time I contribute to this wonderful thread again. It is a little grouping to a German Cross in Gold Winner August Spillner who was part of Kampfgruppe Knaust. I only wish I knew what actions he was involved in to win this award. Enjoy!

Scott, that is an amazing Market Garden set.
Do you not have any information about this man? You should think that there must a lot of information regarding his actions, since he won the Deutsche Kreuz in Gold around Arnhem?

                                Dennis,

As I said - I wish I knew. I have written a book about the subject of Kampfgruppe Knaust and no information came to light when doing the research. I met Spillner's grandson and he even wanted to know what happened. One day, a document may shed some light on the topic...until then....only guessing.

                                Cheers

                                Scott
