He also confirmed the stamp used on the 935/4 was the same stamp used on the loop of mine which is also marked 935. Not that that means much........Regards Jimmy

I have only one B-type. The camera I have now is better. Now I'm trying to focus in on those areas you've been talking about. I have a great knee flaw photo. Shows two distinct tiny lines. The flaw was actually a double little crack. But as Chris Jenkins has said and I agree, that is an opening flaw or crack(s) in the die subject to change based on material type, pressures, and as Dave K. said, it could be broken off, changed on extraction. But nonetheless, it is a flaw... And must be considered.

Bill,
The flaw (line) you posted in Post #110 does not appear on my cross.
All,
The "dimple" on the 3 o'clock arm, 3rd full bead out from the 6 o'clock arm, also does not show up on my cross at all on the obverse side. On the reverse side, on that same bead and about half-way up, there is a clear "slash", running from left to right.Attached Files

If you look at the "slash" mark on the third bead of my cross posted in Post #118, and compare it to the defects shown by Dietrich on the third and fourth beads of an 935-4 cross in the companion thread to this one ("'B' type die flaw progression"), I believe that my 800-4 cross shows the defect much more distinctly than the 935-4 (and does not show the other defect at all). This is the 935-4 shown:Attached Files
