I got my Falkenburg & Richter last year in a similar way. It came in a lot of three or four, all from one vet source. Could it have been from this same lot, or do you have all of these Don?
I have all of these Chip. It furthers my belief that when the American Army occupied Coblenz some of them found a store of these, either at the manufacturer or at a caserne./depot. For every one Juncker badge found in a vets bring back lot you will find 10 of these. And these are mostly mint were as the Junckers are usually worn.
Excellent thread, I decided to read the threas from first to the last page yesterday. Very informative and looks like I'll try to find myself a ticket to the MGSSA owners club.
A few hours well spent.
Are the Leburg exanples made of iron or something else? They tend to have a quite good condition generally speaking.
On the lot of six Falkenburg & Richter badges, I was struck by the combinations of the round and flat pins. Some badges with totally flat pins, some with totally round ones and then some with both. Just goes to show there are no set rules to be had here.
