          Yes it is, and I find it to be a very attractive bar as well. The patina on the Turkish Medjidjie makes it blend in, rather than jump out, as they tend to do, to the point of distraction. Beyond that, the next of kin Hindenburg Cross brings an added dimension of the story behind it. Any chance of identifying the recipient?

              recipient with the mecidi? i don`t think, that you will have a chance.

              should be the 5th class. it was often awarded to german, k.u.k. and bulgarian
              personnel.

              all documents of the german mission were burned in late 1918.
