Thoughts on this ebay item

You just had to show off didn't you.

I only ever had one with a collar conversion and It wasn't for a GP but rather a tank commander. The collar was rotten as hell and It had the chest pocket conversion.

Those smocks are awesome mate and I never get tired of seeing them, thank you .

I just can't figure out what we are looking at in this picture:

I just turned my smocks inside out and the panels are stitched together in a different manner.

Also, what wings do you think have been removed? Seems a bit small for a full size GP wing, 2nd pilots wings perhaps?

It's here Luc - just by the inner pocket. ( The outer pockets are fitted quite high )

I think it may be a 2nd pilot. The smock is 45 dated.

He didn't sell it, he just took the helmet out. They are now listed seperately. Clever move by the seller !

5 days to go and it is already over £1000 ! It will be hard keeping the group together.

It's an early version with the felt and rubber spacers.

Yes that makes it a desirable helmet, although its not in best shape.
