Yes, that's quite bad too (for eBay where these can be had much cheaper). Although, I have seen other ratty horrible single examples sell for £120 on some online dealers webs(h)ites!

      Hi Jack,
I agree, my cheapest one was about £50. Indeed some dealers sell these at ridiculous prices, I take it we're both thinking of Regimentals?

        Yes, we both are!

I can't believe them....they also had £120 for a single printed Para Regt shoulder title.

Those Airborne shoulder titles are nasty cheapo fakes! Steer clear of them!

Nice badges Luc! I have a set just like your one in the middle! A much under rated title in my opinion.

Thanks Jack! I only have two at the moment as I gave one to a friend, but yes they are very nice indeed. I'm still trying to find out who used them and when, if you look at the picture of a sgt of the parachute regiment taken in 1945 that is shown in Brian Davis' book you'll know what I mean.

Fortunately, under rated means cheap. The top title was one of my best buys ever at 10Euro!
                      Regards, Luc

Hi Luc, the curved "Airborne" titles were used by most Parachute units prior to the introduction of the Parachute Regt shoulder titles. Gen. Urquhart wore them for Arnhem. Many of my friends from the XXI IPC wore them too.

                        Cheers, Ade.

                          Hi Ade,

Fascinating to hear IPC used them too during Market Garden . I mean, weren't there rules what to wear after the "parachute regiment" shoulder titles were introduced officially?

Haha, I just remembered a Brigadier told me I after serving for about 8 months I was wearing the wrong cap badge!

Hi Luc, like all army dress regulations, there were many men or indeed units, who did not do things "by the book".

                            Cheers, Ade.

                              Hi Ade,

I guess you're right about that, it just makes research very hard!

I don't believe a word of the "glider" description.
