          Hi guys,

Kellys heroes & Where eagles dare.
There is an old Aussie movie as well, The odd angery shot- about vietnam.

However my most fav film ( war ) is Gallipoli.

I went to Gallipoli in 2005, it's today almost a rite of passage for under-forty Australians. When you stand at the base of the cliffs which look down upon the beach- you have to wonder at their bravery and doubt your own.

          Cheers,

          Jamie.

            Torn between three

            Battle of the Bulge
            Battle of Britain
Band of Brothers (Although not a film)

I selected other but would choose Battle of the Bulge
Robert Shaw as the Panzer Commander was great!

My favourite is 08/15, it's a trilogy from 1954 about German artillery soldiers. I call it the film-bible for everyone interested in Germany's side of WW2

In terms of the costume department, it's the best if it is compared with other war movies! I wonder if they used real uniforms from the war. They look just right, even the wearing of their decorations which sometimes can't be said for other movies.

Battleground "Thats for sure thats for dang sure" Classic movie ,classic line from the movie. But my favorite is Kellys Heroes, I like the whole WW2 hippy vibe that it has to it.

                            The Train

Watched The Train yesterday on TCM great period atmosphere wonderful acting, sweat, filth, grime and those fantastic bygone days seeing those steam driven monsters.
Maybe some kids nowadays haven't seen it? highly recommended movie.

                            Cheers
