The camuflage on the superstructure was overpainted that same day, and mine is based on the photo taken at 11:00 A.M.

By the time the Bismarck sailed that evening, all the camouflage had been painted over except for the imitation bow wave, so you're right on track here.

However, the pictures I guess we all have seen and wich you are probably using as reference, is from the Grimstadfjord - a small arm of the Korsfjord.

doing the model kits is a very tired work but interesting so much, I stored so many German Panzer kits from the company Dragon HongKong.

Thank you all for your nice words. Yes, it is a test of patience and sometimes it drives me nuts. But the result is worth it and it beats watching TV...

It's coming along quite nicely, great details.

Really like the firehoses, much better than on my Tamiya modell - even with the etch-set.

The frame is from Lion Roar. The center piece is a wood dowel wrapped with thin thread .... Then the outer ring is painted black.

The wash and weathering looks really good Dietrich.

One small suggestion, I think I would tone down the green on the Arado. Looks a bit grass green.

This is turning into a stunning piece of work. The detail afforded by the etched parts brings the model to a new level and the paintwork and weathering is outstanding. Really looking forward to the finished article.
Are you doing commission builds when this one is finished?

I agree with Ben. Typicaly these Arado 196 are seen with a very dark green color or camo. Here is color wartime shot to help show what I am talking about. Super Bismarck Dietrich!
                                best wishes,
