    KM Bismarck - Revell 1:350

I always wanted to build the Bismarck. Now that the stunning Revell kit is out, together with the super detail set from Lion Roar I started to tackle the task.

    Looking good so far!

The wooden deck really adds something special to the model.

I just got to build me one of these some day......

Looking forward to watching your progress here - good luck, Dietrich.

The detail of the photo etched parts is just stunning. The size of the parts makes it necessary to work exclusively with a magnifier. Otherwise it id very difficult to attach the open covers for the portholes.

But it is a lot of fun to see the detail which - so I think - will give the model a complete new level of perception. It is along way but it is something where I can relax.

Another shot. The first wash is applied. Now comes the second coat, then the dry brushing and the weathering.

              looking really good!

The Photo etched parts make such a difference.

I have built this ship so many times but not with the detail you are using.

Cant wait to see end result

                  This is looking great!!

The final piece will be nothing short of stunning, the small and fine details are superb and bring the complexity of the ship to life in the model, can't wait to the next update.

                    Thanks a lot all!

Today I did a little finishing on the lower and upper mast deck. The structure is just under 1" high and a little under 3" long.

Looks as though you're progressing very well.

I bought the Tamiya Bismarck and White Ensign detail set years ago and still haven't started. I understand the Revell production is better.

Question..how do you attach the metal railings to the decks?

Best of luck with your project.
