Anyone else having problems getting their orders from LB as of late? I have been waiting for almost a month and have got to date is unanswered emails.

Someone told me that they were going out of business again. What I heard was that someone bought the business from Ed Walton over a year ago and have found that they cannot make a go of it. This may be a rumor, just hearsay. -
I have heard the same thing from a couple other folks. I hope it is just a rumor. I have $450 bucks in limbo now with them. This is not the only reason, they make great stuff.Comment

Ive been having trouble with them for some time
I have been wandering whats going on at lost battalions as well, I ordered some Jack boots from them after what was a very bizzarre almost as if they cant be bothered to answer the E mails session, out of sheer frustration I finally telephoned them.Originally posted by JurgenHaack View Post

Reasons like that keep me away from most vendors. So far, I've ordered mostly from ATF and have had no problems with knowing when my stuff will arive.Originally posted by nick7602 View Post

I have seen Grigsby's jackboots and wanted a pair but as you say, several e-mails went unanswered. I have heard that you have to meet him in person and he will deal with you if he likes you.
I wish all businesses performed as well as At The Front, Rollin may be a bit grumpy but they do deliver.

Nick: When did you order your boots from LB? Some of my guys tried ordering some not to long ago and were told they were no longer making footwear.
My order was placed January 5, 2010 and I have not received anything except for unawsered calls and emails.
This will be my last time dealing with Ed. I have dealt with Ray over the years without a minutes problem. I have dealt with a lot of different vendors in my 15 years of re-enacting and this is the first time I ever had this problem.Comment

for responding to this thread, some interesting comments from you guys, I agree with your comments about At The Front Militaria,I bought a zelt from them,and get this, purchased on a wednesday on my doorstep Saturday Morning the same week.
in my entire lifetime I dont think I have ever had such a quick turn around takes bloody four days here in the UK with Snail Mail just to send up and down the country.
I would have bought some jacks from ATF but being an ex weight trainer I am alittle on the muscle bound size, calfs are 18 inches so when LB said they could make em to measure well I jumped at it ordered the boots in December last year just before Christmas, Tlephoned last week to be told they would be another 6 weeks?? we will see I will keep you all posted.

Actually I think the ATF jackboots will fit your calfs fine. I weigh 240lbs and I could stuff 5 or 6 stick grenades inside my ATF jackboots.Comment

He is a body builder and he has worked on his calves as well as other parts of his body to make them big and muscular so his calves are probably larger than yours.I am 6'3" and weigh 230 and I lift for strength and my calves are not that big.Just because he upper part of your body is big does not mean that the legs at the calves are large.I have been lifting since I was 15 and have seen this many times.A lot of times people are just born with big calves that become naturally larger over time.Originally posted by DennyB View Post

thanks for the info which is very much appreciated, I did E mail ATF with my calf size of 19 inches, and the guys there said the wouldnt be suitable?
sorry guys I have 19 calfs not 18 typo on my part
does sound like ATF may have got it wrong then, what calf size are you guys?

I have 16" calfs and the ATF jackboots I have are plenty big enough for a few stick grenades. I bought mine about 2 years ago, I heard ATF has the latest ones a bit tighter. You might check and see if he has any of his old stock big ones left.Originally posted by nick7602 View Post
