Well Thanks to dear Colin on here, for dragging me off the re-enacting web site and letting me know of all the problems you guys are having with LB, i only wish id found out 3 months ago. Guys im only waiting for a lufty officers chip bag and im pissed, god knows how you folks with large orders must feel.
But what is really wrong is, if i hadn't put the post on re-enactors site or Colin hadn't seen it, i would have never known! how many other poor sods are out there waiting for stuff they have ordered.
Like you folks, ive sent 7 E-mails (No Joy) and phoned twice with no joy with either contact with a human or finding a full answering machine.
My e-mail recived at the point of order (31/03/10) was signed Ed Walton
so i think he was very much alive and in charge at that point.
Anyway now the struggle begin to get the money back....As a post script to this, someone said earlier they had no problem getting their money back with Pay-Pal, then they were indeed lucky..Last year i had this very same problem with U.S. Wings ( almost 300 pounds worth of kit) and pay-pal wouldn't help, i ended up begging the guy for the money...so be careful what you use..Gary
I have seen Grigsby's jackboots and wanted a pair but as you say, several e-mails went unanswered. I have heard that you have to meet him in person and he will deal with you if he likes you. I wish all businesses performed as well as At The Front, Rollin may be a bit grumpy but they do deliver.
I'm having a similar bad experience with Grigsby. ATF referred me to them for jackboot heel irons. I spoke to a woman on the phone who said they had them and quoted me a cost for shipping. I sent them a money order back in May and the never sent my items. I've since found another source and requested Grigsby cancel my order and refund my money. I haven't heard a word since and they don't even answer the phone any more! In the intervening time, I've had several phone conversations with them and been promised that either the irons have been sent or they're "on their way out the door" but sadly, none of it turned out to be true. They're probably going to keep my money too, but hell, what's $38.00 among friends, right? A cheap price to find out what kind of people you're dealing with! If I'm being too harsh or if anyone knows anything about what's going on with them, please feel free to share.
It would seem to me that if someone wants to quit doing business, they would shut their site down or put up a notice that they are no longer in business and quit taking people's money. Both Lost Battalions and Grigsby had as much business as they wanted if they had just stayed at it. I have no idea why they do this sort of thing.
I guess LB is now pulling a Grigsby? People will continue to be Jacked around until they start reading some of the many many forum threads warning them about certain dealers. It just takes a little time, thats all.
Grigsby has had a crappy reputation for YEARS as far as doing business over the web. LB has had a crappy reputation since at least the beginning of the year.
Hello
Grigsby I met in person at an event, had alot of good stuff but does answer e-mails or phone calls! Summertime militaria has alot of great stuff but Im afraid to send him any money due to his response time.Any one had dealings with him?
Kevin
I made a order in mid June and the following week he called and let me know everything was instock and should ship out soon.
After allot of phone calls in late August I got Ed and he apolagized and said he is still behind and my items would ship out on the following Friday.
Well it's October and almost 2 months sense I talked to him and still nothing.... I have called and called but no one answers.
Emails do not work either...
I have a reenactment coming up in CA that I am flying too and don't have any more time to wait. I called up 1944Militaria and ATF and made a order and I had my stuff within 3 days and I'm 100% pleased with them.
I'm calling my credit card company tomorrow and getting my $600 back from LB!
I ordered my M35 luftwaffe officers overseas cap in April this year, have E-mailed him 12 times, phoned and talked to him 5 times ( once i caught him in the warehouse, where he told me he couldn't understand why i hadn't had mine by then as he was looking at a pile of them, and assured me id have it in 2 weeks, that was 4 months ago!!). Now whenever i try any form of contact (Email, Phone, smokesignals, wishful thinking)....Nothing works.
Please if any member lives in the Houston area and meets Ed give him a good kicking from me and the many members on here who are still waiting for their orders...Thanks

Don't hold your breath mate, I've been waiting just over a year now for an item.
Lost Battalions is really lost... Reading all your misadventures with orders, merchandise not delivered and money not refunded makes me think when they used to be "Top Notch", I've bought from them 10 yrs ago when I was living in Italy and got the order shipped without any problem, and today they cannot keep the word delivering in US. What they are doing is dishonest, taking orders and getting payed and then "apologizing" for months and then silence. If you go out of business you go out of business there's not half way, they are on to get the funds but out of business when it comes to deliveries? You guys sure had enormous patience. You should contact the Police Dept. in Richardson, TX

Sorry but the guy acts like a crook. At least he certainly stole from me!
