Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.

          Very nice Sam.
I still can't believe that you were able to score those wonderful caps from Liam.
          Any tunics in your collection?

Yes a big welcome s.d. from us all ,, ,, Thanks for sharing your field caps and helmets, one pretty rare grouping in deed ! ,, I know the soutache is missing but that faded cap has to be my favourite ,, ( any idea of what the colour may have been ? ) ,,
please do post more if you can ..

            Merry Christmas

Sam has shown that one in the headgear section Paul. A beautiful and well used pioneer if I recall correctly.
How's your collection coming along Paul?
I'm hoping to post a few new items in the new year. Unfortunately a few items have been lost in the post over the past couple of months, including a set of early Pzgren Unteroffizier tropical shoulder straps. I just hope that they turn up.

              Take care

                Yes, 2010 looks VERY promising...

I hope that they turn up Mark.
Unfortunately they aren't the only items to go missing in the past this year. I've also lost a very nice tunic removed tropical eagle and a large photo grouping from Artillery Regt 115 (about 300 photos from Africa). The shoulder straps and photo grouping were registered and with tracking, but no trace has been found.
                  Maybe 2010 will be better.

Below is one of the many missing pictures, an incredible grouping.

Merry Christmas Mark G & Mark T ,, Brrrrr yes it has been very cold way down here in the deep south, infact we have had very little of any sort of summer ! ,, and yes things have been a little slow on the collecting front for me , I think it may be because over the last year I seem to have become so darn fussy, so much so that it has caused me to turn down quite a few items that have not been text book ,, I did however manage to get on to a couple of nice original items but sadly I was piped at the post as they say ,, Hasn't put me off though , I still love Dak and only hope I can do better in 2010 ..

Mark I have also crossed my fingers for your shoulder straps , i hope you find them, you have such a sweet strap collection these Pzgren Unteroffizier tropicals need to turn up !

                      All the best
