There have been some fantastic items posted lately;
the helmet and cap from boyouLaGleize (that Gustav Thomas marked example certainly is very nice),
Kondor's reunion shields (just love them and a complete new collecting field in itself)
and of course the wonderful grouping from Matthias.
Thanks for taking the time to show us.

I was fortunate to know Kapitan z.S (Bundesmrine) Albet Muller, commander of S-59 in the Med. An RK and DKG holder for actions in the Afrika Theater. He always had time to talk and open up his foto album and awards box. Here re two fotos of him with the AFRIKA Cuff tittle. The other gentleman is Admiral Kemnade the 3rd Flotilla Commander.

A little present from Kapitan Muller upon my last promotion. When I tried to refuse, he said that they were all doubles, except he did not have a double of his RK. Ineresing thing is ha a member of his family had received the Iron Cross 2nd class since 1813 and he had all of them in his awards box!

Kapitan z.S. Albert Muller
He had a very interesting career: me out of the Merchant Marine, so he was an older officer when the war broke out. He served aboard the State Yacht when Hitler and several dignataries came for a visit. Served on the light cruiser Karlsruhe during the invasion of Norway during Weserubung. Commanded S-59 sinking the Dutch merchant ship Stad Maastricht. He and boat were transferred to the Baltic where he went on operations against the Soviet Navy. He sank a Latvian merchant ship and scored a hit on a Soviet Destroyer and Submarine. He then deployed to the Med where he sank 6 British Merchant ships and two destroyers. In adition to his Knights Cross, he was awarded th German Cross in Gold, EKI &2, three Italian medals for bravery, the S-Boat Badge, High Seas Fleet Badge for service on the Karlsruhe, and the Bunesverdienstkreuz I Klasse for service in the Bundesmarine from 1960-1971. In the Bunesmarine, he commanded the 7th and later the 5th Schnellbootgeschwader. Unfortunately for all of the Knights cross fans, the salt water did a number on the finish of his RK, so he repainted it a gloss black! But he did have the award date engraved on the back side of the upper arm of the RK after presentation in Italy. Nice touch!

Will be posting small grouping that belonged to Lt. Brinkmann who was with the 605th self propelled artillery in North Africa. Shame that I didn't get his cap in the below photo but glad to have these few items. I need to do more research on his career but he seems to have seen alot of service in Africa, Russia and later the Western Front.Attached Files
