    Chris,
I've also recently picked up a set of tropical wool overcoat shoulderstraps which would appear to be Rifle Regiment NCO straps. I'll take some pics of these and well and add them to the thread.
If you're looking to see a stunning PzRegt5 wrap, take a look at Michael Everett's thread on a mint Panzer cap in the cloth headgear forum. His 2nd pattern wrap is mint.

I believe Pzr.Grn. regiments 69, 86, 105, 125, 115, 200, 361, 362, 433 and Pzr.Grn. Rgt "Afrika" wore grass green. According to Dal McGuirk, "Rommel's Army in Africa", p. 138 AND 139 (note 1) ISBN: 0 09 166450 0, Afrika panzergrenadier regiments wore grass green waffenfarbe in 1942 following an evolution from light green piping worn by rifle regiments in 1941 and earlier.

I have a number of DAK grenadier soldbuchs and it is interesting that the motorized rifle regiments were also redesignated as panzer grenadier regiments in 1942.

        Neat stuff!

This list has been posted in earlier threads but it should be on this one too. Has the best list of waffenfarbe in the DAK, i have found to date.

        Again thanks C Evans.

Would just add that the only time the DAK Regts wore close to the correct piping color most of the time was upon deployment to Afrika,. Although the two MG Bn's (2nd & 8th) had a mix of Green and White upon deployment for example in early '41. After the Fall/Winter of '41 the supply for caps and shoulderstraps became so acute that many DAK soldats had to use mismatched, or wrong color/shade tropical straps or even Continental straps.
When the 3rd Recon Bn was overun by the Kiwi Div at Sidi Rezegh in late Nov '41 it had a mix of Gold/Yellow & Copper and even Pink piping. By Alamein any straps would do as only petrol, ammo, & food & water were getting to the front in any quantity. I don't think the DAK solders were too worried about which color waffenfarbe they wore when compared to if they were getting any petrol or ammo or water or not.
Also the difference in a Schutzen regt and a Pz Gren regt in Afrika was in name only as a Pz Gr Regt might have a platoon of halftracks in the whole Regt, unlike in Europe where the entire First Bn would/did. The two Motorized Regts (104th & 115th from 15th Pz Div) from the DAK became Pz Gr Regts later when the original two MG Bn's were attached to each Schutzen Regt as third Bn's. The 104th going to the new 21st Pz Div. So not only were the Motorized Regts redisignated, the 5th Lt Div became the 21st Pz Div without any substantial reinforcements, again just in name only...as now each DAK Pz Div only had a single Pz Gr Regt unlike European Pz Div's that had two, (usually a Pz Gr and a Mot Regt). There were just the two Pz Gr Regts in the DAK and a few non motorized (later Mot Regts eventually) in the 90th Lt Div but some did arrive in Tunisia under Von Arnim's command. Hope this helps.

                            DAK 3rd pattern boots

                            Hello,

Here's a new acquisition that I want to share with fellow DAK collectors. They are a very rare pair of 3rd pattern field modified cut down boots.

I have another pair of modified 3rd patterns which I will post shortly.

                            Enjoy!

Really interesting thread guys and some very nice DAK gear being posted.

Here's my Luft Tunic, 1940 dated. The OS cap laying next to it in the pic is also 1940 dated and is Berolina made. Both the cap and tunic are named to Helmut Reichert. The Meyer cap is dated 1942 and is an August Schellenberg. Wish I had some appropriate Y-Staps but these will have to do until then.

Thought you guys might like seeing this.
