        Larry,
SUPERB. Any 1940 dated LW tropical tunics are super scarce, and to find one in that condition is wonderful.
        Thanks for sharing
        Mark.

Many thanks Mark! Very glad you approve. Here's the chevron. I know it's hard to see in the photo, but the thread used to attach it is bleached from the sun/use. Very cool.

Nice tunic Larry! Is that portrait next to the tunic the original owner by chance?

Thanks for the kinds words. No, the portrait is not the original owner but I sure wish it was.

Some day I'll get around to doing the research on the original owner.

                  Larry,
The chevron is clearly oiginal to that tunic, looking at the tell-tale signs. Fantastic - and in good hands, too.
                  Best Regards from New Zealand,
                  Mark.

Here's a new acquisition that I want to share with fellow DAK collectors. They are a very rare pair of 3rd pattern field modified cut down boots.

I have another pair of modified 3rd patterns which I will post shortly.

                    Enjoy!

Nice boots Chris. I was offered these but didn't receive the pics until well after I'd gone to bed, so by the time I saw them and said I'd buy the boots the guy offered and sold them to you.
Needless to say I won't be dealing with this individual again because I don't agree with the way he went about selling these. I won't go into the details but others here know about it.
                    Congratulations though.

                      Hi Mark,

                      Thank you for your compliment!

Had no idea about the seller's "marketing" of the boots. Am still waiting for their arrival.

Best Wishes from a hot & humid Chicago,

                      C.

I posted this belt buckle also in the "Belts and Buckles" forum, but I thought it deserves a place here also. Just my humble contribution to this threat...

[QUOTE=Gebhi;2297968]Got this from Officer in Royal Engineers which he brought back as a souvenir. Webbing is much thinner than service field belt. Never seen these for sale?
