Thank you for the nice comments. I am using an spray can paint made by Testor's Model Master line for the base coat to use over the whole head area, then I use the Airbrush with Model Master color- Skin Tone Shadow to do the area under and around the jaw line, eyes, nose, and back of ear area. Any place or areas where sweat and dirt might settle on your face and give you that dirty look. Last , I use the Model Master color -Skin Tone Warm Tint and I add a touch of red to it and mix. Then, I spray the areas where people would normally get sunburned. The high cheek bone area, the top and bridge line of the nose, top of ears, above the eye brow area, etc...

The High top boots are high quality repros and look good until I find originals. Besides, if I had originals, then I don't know if I would risk putting them over a mannequin's feet. I would be too afraid of tearing them, so high quality repros works for me. regards, Grant

Here's a DAK art'y board for sale with continental tresse. Looks good from what I can tell. I believe that someone bought a similar one off e-stand a short while back. Can't quite recall who (believe his name is Paul), but hopefully he will see this and find a suitable mate.

would you be so kind as to say where you purchased your full mannequin at?...yours really looks great with the full uniform and personal touches. Or perhaps where I could find an outlet in the States that sells full mannequins for uniform display? The only ones i see for sale are the Webster display mannequins that are in some of the recent publications. thanks.

Mark - many thanks! I have switched from using the modelers clay and now will use auto body filler. So, hopefully I can now mold some better faces.

Andy, The two mannequins that you see I bought off of EBAY from an outfit out of Texas, here in the states. They cost around $115.00 each, but the shipping was around $50.00. I cannot imagine what they would charge to ship to Europe, but it might be expensive. I have found a good place out of New York. The guy is very reasonable and shipping is too! He also sells on Ebay and you will notice his ad by , he has a picture of a freightliner/cargo ship in his listing. He has several male designs to choose from, seated ones as well, so he might be your best source. Plus I believe he has a larger UPS account, therefore the rates to Europe might not be to bad. Hope this helps. If by chance, you cannot find his ad then let me know and I will see if I can post a link, ok.

Chris - That photo is really cool ! I wish that more unpublished pictures will be posted. We, as collectors, can learn so much from photographs.

By the way, anyone going to the SOS next week? If so, stop by my tables and chat. I usually have some of my SS uniforms on display, which makes my tables easy to find, but this year with so much items to sell, then I will not be able to set it up.

just a few more pictures of my shirt, didnt realise how bloodied it was until I got it in the daylight, on this picture you can see the origional position of the buttons for the shoulderboards, they look a little off centre in the picture, but they are in the middle, interesting how the pocket button holes are finished in blue thread
