Dr. Robert Ley
Terry, As I allready stated, this is a great idea. I was wondering if there are any members who have read any good books about Dr. Robert Ley. My search at the public library and amazon came up empty. Anay and all help would be appreciated and of course, I am thinking of English translation. Thanks for any help that can be offered. Speer's Memoirs
I just finished "Inside the Thrid Reich" -Albert Speer's memoirs-easily one of the top 5 books I have ever read. It has probably been discussed here before, but if you want to truly delve into the heirarchy of nazi Germany,and get a first hand account of what Hitler was like, then you must read this!Originally posted by TerryG

I have just finished reading Martin Pöppel's "Heaven & Hell" the war diary of a German Paratrooper. Its 256 pages but a very good read, following his life from athe early 30's, Poland, Kreta, Russia, Italy, France, Germany and the as a POW in England and return to Germany.
The down side is that it is no longer in print, however, I searched Barns and Noble and got my "new condition" edition from the States for about $20/25 which included p&p. It got a bit knocked in the post, but I can live with it although slighty annoyed by it.
Anyway a good read, cheap and worth adding to any library.

I'm about half way thru the book TWP recommended "But Not For The Fuerher" it reminds me of "Forgotten Soldier" . Same battle at the river DON etc.
It's got me hooked!

Landmark?
I don't know what Landmark are like these days but I phoned them about 18 months ago to order 6 books (different publishers) that they had on the website and they were ALL out of stock.
Even accounting for my usual luck I found this hard to believe.
They couldn't tell me when they were expecting to have them either.
First and last time I that I tried them.
Sure hope they have gotten better.
