    Owen,
Do you have a foreign manufactured smock to place beside the brick smock for comparison? Otherwise, although interesting, putting a German manufactured example on display is not relevant to the discussion.

It has got some relevance Mark,

it shows what is different and what is the same.

However, if one selects a German made smock extremely difference in the intensity of the colours, dyes and amount of wear then of course it is going to appear very different.

On the other hand, if you select something which is a close match in the colours, dyes, wear and even period of manufacture then it is very, very close indeed.

Too close for comfort for some.

Kammo man's textbook, well known maker smocks are an interesting study for sure and a pleasure on the eye. But it is like comparing a Halfar tropical cap with a LAGO made cap then asking if an extremely rare K&S made cap is real. There are differences between different manufacturers and those made early, mid or late war. Plus those made in Holland or France for example when compared to those made in Germany before May 1945.

That is the challenge and "real" comparisons that should now be discussed on this thread,

      Chris

Really ? well re-post the images on this thread and let's see if it is they are in fact the same.

That will be both interesting and relevant to this thread,

Well, in fairness Owen, before people answer your questions you'll need to answer those asked of you previously.
We still look forward to the measurements of your brick smock and comparison with a known foreign manufactured example?

Like I said in an earlier post about being at a print shop that made cammo fabric.

The owner was so proud of his latest batch of OAK A.
I asked him why he made it so dull.
He told me thats how it came factory fresh.
Show me the sample you copied.
He showed me a really washed out Oak Zelt that was worn and grubby with much sun bleaching.
It was the late war type.

                  UUUUUUUmmm.

Kind of like what Pink looks like.

The funny thing about you guys posting here is you arnt actually in the fabric Industry and have never been to a print shop.

Please tell they are wrong because you made out it was all yours, like you were the big wallet of SS camo.

Well, well, well just goes to show.

Mind you, you still get to handle it but please give proper credit for whose it is that you showed,

You guys are getting funny. Its going to be hard for anyone to question Owens expertese on camo and the ways it made. Before anyone says it im not friends or have a interest In Owens side. I do know from years of this forum he knows his stuff about the subject. If anyone can argue with that point id like to hear it myself
