We talk.abiut these fakes some months ago, in hungary-austrian prepared also a new fake on tabs. At the moment easily spottable but we noted an upgrade on work.

P.S. the one thing they can't fake is period material. Real SS tabs stay black under UV light = fakes turn a brownish color.
Can you help us with a photo taken in a dark room, a photo where we can see the difference in this black vs. brownish colour? If this is a good give-away a UV light is indispensable for a quick decision.

There is other method to spot wothout light. Examine.embroiding

There way to detect the UV light only in white. I guess you may find a brownish in a lot of originals too

Indeed! Would like to know. On the other hand, what if it is Original period black wool?
Viva speaks about comparing stitching, but how am I supposed to do that without knowing which one is fake vs Original? I only got one of each...
Which designs are effected? The whole Dachau/volunteer range?

The original tabs and sleeve adlers I have all stay black under UV light, fakes turn a redish brown color. Look at any modern black clothing you have under UV light and you will see the redish brown color to look for. The color and brightness is unmistakable.

P.S. it will not photograph so you must UV the item in person.
