SS Officer's uniform, golden collar patches

I was offered this SS-officer's tunic by a small collector who claims he got it from the family in 1968. The uniform is in perfect condition but I have doubts about he originality as it is just too nice.

The collar patches have turned in to a golden colour, according to the man they were silver coloured when he got them, but after he had it stored in a plastic cloth bag for many years they had turned golden....

Collar tabs are bad without a doubt. Will be curious to see the entire tunic.

Probably put off by the goldish tone piping but I think it's copper based originally silver plated like my tabs here: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=245571

I would have thought it was potentially a GOOD sign rather than a dead give-away of a fake.

The alignment of the runes is A-typical but there are known examples of this type AND the sleeve eagle looks to be a nice early 2nd pattern style which would match the silver-plated copper bullion we are seeing on the tab piping.

I accually like the collartabs a lot. They sure do are quality made pieces as is the eagle.
