Seeing as though this request was ignored, I took it upon myself to try and clarify a few things. So, I went back and read through some of the old threads and found some pics posted by PvL here: Not macro but good enough.

PvL bought this helmet cover and these two caps from Lorenzo back in 2005/2006 and was suspicious of their originality.

After studying the photos, I can certainly see why!
Just my opinion but I think they were all made by the same person, on the same sewing machine and using the same sewing thread. The makers "fingerprint" is plain to see, at least to me. So this is more than enough evidence for me to seriously doubt them.

Could someone post some decent photos of other covers sold by Lorenzo please?

I think it's important to see as many as possible in one place so that we can all compare but personally, my minds made up already. I wouldn't touch any of them.

Yeah he did but photographic evidence was seriously lacking/lost in the pages and pages of accusations and mud flinging.

I am not really so sure that Peter vL in fact bought all these items (the shown helmet cover and both camo caps) from Lorenzo as Peter claimed. Lorenzo remembers only one cap that he sold to PeterVL ("Blurred Edge" - see his original comment below). His dealing with Peter was over 10 years ago and there are thousand items passed trhough Lorenzo, seriously, no one would remember each item either.

In addition, there is some technical data/info embeded into every image (automatically made by a camera when a picture is taken). This technical info is impossible to modify it is like "fingerprint". Below is a screenshot of the technical info of images that Peter vL posted. All these pictures have been taken by Peter as you can see his famous mannequin in every picture. Note that pictures of the helmet cover and caps have been taken FOUR years apart (2001 and 2005). And caps - 10 months apart (February,2005 and December,2005).

It seems Peter vL does not remember from whom exactly he has got each of his items very well either. It is possible that Peter simply went through his Archive pictures and collected all similar-looking camo items from there to post them all here and to claim "these are from Lorenzo" while in fact it was only one the "Blurred Edge" cap in December,2005. And even if that cap is indeed fake, it does not make Lorenzo a "faker" as all of us have been fooled by fakes once or twice

But I remeber I did some deals with him of course, when I started to sold my collection 10 years ago, I remeber weel the Blurred edge cap.
Loocking at the pictures he posted I like them, spring tunnels on the cover arent a problem to me, cap also.

I understand about the photos data but that is not really accurate. It depends on the camera if and when one sets the data and time for it, etc...my cameras have all different dates and times and not even the correct years. If the battery goes dead then this is all erased and i have to reset it all. I have rarely if ever reset this data.

I do not think one can really rely on the camera data for accuracy imo.

I don't know how accurate pvl is with his record keeping but most large dealers do have records of from whom and when things are bought from and how much. So if he says he purchased / traded from Lorenzo then he probably did.

Well, ACHTUNG! aka bnz42 aka Disco Partisan or whatever other aliases you may use:

So the dates in the photos have to be the exact dates you claim? Why? Because you say so?

Shocking news: The exact same plane tree cover was offered to me after 2005 by ....well....LORENZO! Now of course you will claim he has bought it from Peter in 2001 then offered it to me and then to Peter.

As for the dsiplay head and set: The problem is that in 2001 Peter was in a whole different office with very different setups so that won't work either.

These items came from Lorenzo. A pity he can't remember "exactly". A common problem. The good part is I for one can remember this very well.

                  Cheers

what do you mean by all this? 1. I do not use "other aliases" 2. The metadata written by camera into the image file itself it is called EXIF(google it) and I did not make these dates - they will aprear the same on your compuer - just save them on your drive and look at their "Properties". 3. in 2001 Peter had the same setup/head/mannequin here the link to 2009 thread with his pictures with the same head : http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=304534
                        4. I've read the previous thread that you started about Lorenzo. It is clear that you and Owen are original initiators of this "superfaker-hunt" for Lorenzo. I wonder why you never stated this new "fact" (that Lorenzo offered you the same cover) before in previous thread? Do you have any picture from Lorenzo of this helmet cover? Or an email from him where he offered it to you? Can you please post it here for us to see

As I already said in this thread before, I have never got a single camo item from Lorenzo. None.

By the looks of it I was not clear enough: I am accusing you of being the formerly banned member(s) "bnz42" and " ACHTUNG! ", now you are member "Disco Partisan".

Perhaps a moderator could look into this.

                          Cheers

hopefully as accusing people for no reason has grown into a habit with you
I guess you have no pictures from Lorenzo or any of his emails ?
