He used to mention Prato alot yes, however, as you say not likely all from Prato. Apparently from various places, for example the Plane tree cap i had came from Bolzano, and many items from the Tyrol region. Thats as much as I know there, however, pictures clearly from likely several recycling plants, and not the same one, I can remember clearly. I dont doubt him there the system he developed to get things for cheap in these ways.
There you go....
Best regards,
Pete

What I am trying to get across here is that items - of which I am 100% (not 99%) sure are fake - were allegedly found at Prato.
So there must have been some faker that had the goal to provide the southern european clothing recycling system with plenty of fake ss camo.
This - I must admit - is a scenario I am not quite sold to at this stage.
Cheers

Pete you are a good guy, don't get blinded by a "Nice" guy. Most conman and fraudsters are nice guys, otherwise they won't be succesfull. Focus on the evidence and the item, it is damning.
To get the thread back on track. The evidence against the covers are stacking up, especially after the assessment of the stitching fingerprint on the various items. J

Originally posted by Fritz View Postnobody had offered as many of these on a global scale as Lorenzo. Not even near as many. And I was in most cases told these items were found at Prato - Right out of the recycling facility. Bosh!
By the time Lorenzo showed up on the forum sales of such items boosted and that was the time when it was taken to a global scale. Ad hoc I would guess I could name 12 collectors that took at least one of his items, some even more. Plus others that I do not know but have contacted me over the years.
I can tell you that Lorenzo has sold and offered numerous caps of this type (same grommets, same other mistakes). Also plenty of covers. That is what I can tell you. Among the plentiful "questionable" material were other gems such as kombis.
1. Lorenzo offered "more then a few" of these "questionable" camo-items
2. Lorenzo has sold and offered numerous caps of this type
3. Also plenty of covers.
4. There were also "questionable" kombis
5. Lorenzo told these items were found at Prato
6. You can name 12 collectors that took at least one of his items (please name 3 at least and post pictures of the items that they bought from Lorenzo)
7. By the time Lorenzo showed up on the forum sales of such items boosted
The following things would work as evidences / facts to back up what you just said:
A. Emails exchanged with Lorenzo where he is offering his items,
B. pictures of these items sent by Lorenzo,
C. old WAF threads where items offered by Lorenzo have been discussed,
D. names of collectors that bought items directly from him, etc
I am sure you won't bring a single valid evidence or fact and your words will remain as such just "words" just another bluffLast edited by Disco Partisan; 04-14-2016, 03:54 PM.

Originally posted by BenVK View PostSeeing as though this request was ignored, I took it upon myself to try and clarify a few things. So, I went back and read through some of the old threads and found some pics posted by PvL here: Not macro but good enough.
http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=841522
PvL bought this helmet cover and these two caps from Lorenzo back in 2005/2006 and was suspicious of their originality.
After studying the photos, I can certainly see why!
Just my opinion but I think they were all made by the same person, on the same sewing machine and using the same sewing thread. The makers "fingerprint" is plain to see, at least to me. So this is more than enough evidence for me to seriously doubt them.
Could someone post some decent photos of other covers sold by Lorenzo please?
I think it's important to see as many as possible in one place so that we can all compare but personally, my minds made up already. I wouldn't touch any of them.

Your lies are failing. everyone watching this "entertainment " can see that clearly. You and your friend "kamoman" made up all these "facts" against Lorenzo for no reason you two just never could handle his remarkable camo collection. And after Lorenzo put 7 years of his life in the books, you got him expelled right after he became an author . Great work!Last edited by Disco Partisan; 04-14-2016, 05:12 PM.

Hi,
back on the topic.
1)
If i'm right, Lorenzo sold/traded items in the S.O.S. ?
Did he visited other fairs in Europe ?
2)
which dealers are known to have sold stuff that came from Lorenzo ?
3)
is anyone remembering if the price asked by Lorenzo was expensive/normal/low and if some trades seemed "too good to be true" ?
See You
Vince

He put 7 years of his life in the books. You got him expelled. Wow
I see a hinted solution in your eloquent post though: Please write a book and have it publsihed as soon as you possibly can!!
