    Lorenzo:

Please post covers that have never been yours or those of your friends. You see the problem?

And post them so the whole cover can be seen.

"Your" covers and caps etc - except of the originals in your collection - all had this 100% incorrect feature and I hope you don't intend to tell me 1 and 1 is 3.

The items we are discussing here are as fake as they can be.
Interestingly you have " received these first hand from a cloth recycling company ".

    Cheers

        Hey Fritz

        Care to elaborate this one?

Are you saying that Lorenz tried to sell covers that he said he found at a cloth recycling company?

That is correct! Allegedly he has bought them from that "source". If memory serves right the city was Prato or sort of.

That is really funny, you are ridiculous, the covers pictures I posted , where you can clearly see the texture run diagonal, are original 100%, each real collector with real knowledge can see that, if you missing this knowledge is a your problem not mine.
Your virtual aproach to the hobby leave some lacks that never will be filled, you can examine a lot of downloaded pictures, but handle them is completely different.

The first cover I posted at post.26 were is possible clearly see the texture that run diagonal is a Block Pattern sewn clips, a great piece, the second picture is an oakleaf twin of some found on the lucky lot found by the member "Horsetrainer " if I remember well the name.
The picture at post 27 is a picture of a oakleaf helmet cover posted by the forum member Horsetrainer from his lucky lot.
Other is a lateral variant with riveted clip with a early blackened rivet. War time production with grey rajon band war time production 40/41.
The last is an early plan tree 1/2 with grey rajon band.
The covers showed are examined in all details (less the one of Horsetrainer property) with many others from various important collection in my first book on SS Camouflage, 480 pages with about 943 color images of helmet covers and smocks.
I find inopportune post here stuffs that will be published in my upcoming books, I am sure the people understand, to teach something to some bad guys that is pretty clear the unique agenda is spitting on me.
I never told I found or bought helmet covers in the recycling company, those are rumors legends

Seams you are fixed on the recycling company.
I never said I found helmet covers in the recycling company, those are just rumors .
In Prato in the years 80/90 come out a lot of uniforms, smocks for pockets tunics zeltbahns etc etc, not just SS, LW, WH, FJ..etc
All old and real collectors know that, in Italy and abroad.
I never bought "first hand", that was sure better, at the first times the uniforms were sold for they weight, not for what they were.
But I was enought lucky, year later to buy some great things by the guys found them at the time, prices were good , not so much like the market price.
In Italy existing some sleeping collections that is really impossible to imagine.
I was very lucky to have the chance to examine some and to publish some unique pieces on my camo books, some great pieces, very important in the story of the manifacture of the camouflage of the Waffen SS.

Then remove the attacks and keep the facts.

Owen clearly stated that he was offered a few of these covers at the SoS from lorenz....no answer was given to this.

                      Why was it removed?

Lorenzo denies this so we have two people claiming totally opposite things. Were you there? Maybe you can clarify what really happened.

I suppose you can? And in case you did not realise this, it is not merely two people. I, Owen, Peter, Willy and so on do claim the same thing!

That doesn't seem to be of any meaning to you.

                            Cheers

Unless you want the mods to pull the plug again you had better be careful.

Let us see if more examples can be posted as I for one am quite interested (knowing of several autumn 'oak A' wraparounds from this source).
